Although I LOVE the tramp who's whistling it. and the lack of the original music (see what I mean about my lack of objectivity when it comes to the original?). My only complaints so far (I reckon I'm most of the way through) are the boss fights. I reckon even if they did a direct remake of the original with the improved graphics and AI of the new one I'd probably still find it to be 'not quite as good as the original Deus Ex'.Īll that said, though, Human Revolution is absolutely stunning. I think the original just made such an impact on me that I can't really be objective. That's not to say there won't be, or already aren't, games better than that. I was thinking about this the other day, though, and it occurred to me that I'll probably never think a game's better than the original Deus Ex. It is a far, far better game an IW and really is the sequel/prequel that the original deserved.
However, I also think it brings some good enhancements over the original, too.
HR is weaker in a few areas, but they are minor.
I'd say the original is better, but mainly because it was groundbreaking and HR isn't.
